We are so proud to introduce you to Michelle Smith, a true StarBrite Angel. Michelle has tirelessly donated her time and energy to the animals and children associated with StarBrite. We have asked her to join our Foundation as a member of our Advisory Board and feel very blessed to have her on our team.
Michelle moved to St. Augustine from Massachusetts in 1989. She has been an active member of the PTA for many years volunteering her time at school functions, field trips, dances, class camping trips and School Carnivals. She is a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aeire 4256 and volunters during fundraisers and Annual Holiday Childrens Parties. Every year she volunteers at many funraising and family events in the community such as the St. Augustine Beach Blast Off where she assists in the kids zone areas and the Annual Rythm and Ribs Vestival sponsered by the Rotary Club. Each month, she helps prepare and serve meals to the Homeless at the St.Francis House located in St. Augustine. She is a truly giving person with an enormous heart. ABIGALE WARD
The Ward Family Abigale, Charlie and Emiline, along with their parents Mary Catherine and George are moving to the beautiful town of Ashville, NC. They have been a wonderful addition to our ranch family and will be greatly missed. Abigale and her pony Moon Pie are going to continue to compete in HJ series in the Carolinas and we have no doubt that they will continue to impress the HJ community.
Abby has been a volunteer with StarBrite for almost two years and her contribution to the program has been wonderful. On behalf of us all, especially her fellow volunteers, we send you to your new home with our best wishes and cheers for winning rides.
GOOD LUCK TO THE WARD FAMILY YOU WILL ALL BE MISSED!
GINGER DUPONT
StarBrite is proud to announce the addition of Ginger DuPont to our Board of Directors. Ginger has been a multi-discipline equestrian in this community for many years. In her teens, she studied and rode hunter jumper which lead to her first years as an HJ instructor. She has worked with children in riding programs and camp programs for many years. She has worked as a large animal veterinary assistant where she has expanded her abilities regarding the health and welfare of horses.
She and her husband William operate a unique equine training program. In this program they utilize a combination of traditional and natural horsemanship methods to provide colt training services to clients who have chosen the DuPont Training methods for getting their young horses under saddle, or for retraining a horse to be a better partner. The DuPont Training methods successfully build a relationship between horse and rider based on respect and trust. Once a horse has been trained or retrained by the DuPont Team, the horses success at any discipline increases dramatically. All of the StarBrite horses have been started or retrained by the DuPont Team with great success. Their methods have proven to be consistent, problem solving, motivational and extremely beneficial to both horse and rider and a vast improvement from traditional methods of the past. Ginger works with all children who participate in our programs at StarBrite and she maintains a very high level of professionalism and courtesy and her training techniques ensure the safest possible environment for our kids.
Ginger brings to our Board, a well-rounded background of equine experience that includes key elements beneficial to StarBrite. We are very fortunate to include her as a Board Member and an integral part of our Program.
